| House of Porcelain. Located in Aixe sur Vienne just south of Limoges, this museum and shop provides a free factory tour helping you to understand why limoges pottery is famous the world over. |
| Chateau de Hauteford & its gardens. The elegant 17th & 18th Century Chateau with its French & English style gardens is located east of Perigueux and is open every day between Apr & Oct (weekends in Mar & Nov). |
| Museum of Trompe l’Oeil. is located in the centre of Perigueux and provides a guided tour of around an hour where you will learn the history of trompe-l’oeil and decorative painting from their origins to their present. There are also introduction and advanced training courses for beginners and professionals. Open all year round (closed Mondays). Booking recommended. |
| Museum of Minatures. Located in Brantome, this museum has a permanent and many temporary exhibitions of dolls houses, room boxes, filled with French furniture and decoration of all styles in miniature on a 1/12th scale. Open April to November (except Fridays out of season). |
| Chateau de Vayres. Located 15 miles east of Bordeaux on the way to St. Emilion, the Chateau de Vayres, set in fantastic grounds on the banks of the Dordogne river, is one of the most prestigious historic buildings of the Aquitante. |
| Les Jardine de l’Imaginaire. Located east of Perigueux in Terrasson, these gardens are open May to October and overlook the valley of the Vezere. Designed by Kathryn Gustafson, these gardens skillfully bring together contemporary architecture, water and the plant kingdom. |
